What we collect
Server logs
Our web server records each request it receives. A log entry contains:
- your IP address;
- the date and time of the request;
- the address of the page or file requested, including anything after a question mark;
- the response the server sent and its size;
- the page that linked to ours (the referrer), if your browser sends it;
- your browser's user agent, which names the browser and operating system.
We use these logs only to keep the site running and secure, for example to find broken links and to deal with abuse. We do not use them to build profiles of visitors, and we do not sell or share them for marketing.
Emails you send us
If you email us, we keep your message and your email address so that we can reply and follow up on what you raised, such as a correction. We do not add you to a mailing list.
What we do not collect
- No tracking or advertising cookies, and no analytics service.
- No third-party scripts, embeds or social media buttons. Our fonts are served from our own server.
- No accounts, sign-ups or contact forms.
- Calculators run entirely in your browser. The amounts you enter are not sent to us.
- Site search runs in your browser using an index downloaded from our server. When you search from a search box, your search words become part of the page address (for example
/search/?q=aecb), so they appear in our server logs like any other address.
Browser storage
If you switch between the light and dark theme, your browser's local storage keeps one item, tcz-theme, with the value "light" or "dark", so the site remembers your choice. It never leaves your device, and you can remove it by clearing this site's data in your browser. Nothing else is stored.

You can ask what we hold about you, or ask us to delete emails you have sent us, by contacting us through our contact page.
Changes to this policy
If the site starts collecting anything new, such as through analytics or advertising, we will update this policy before the change goes live and show the new date at the top of this page. Our terms of use and disclaimer also apply when you use the site.
