Disclaimer

The Credit Zone gives general information about credit and borrowing in the UAE. It is not financial, legal or tax advice and does not take your circumstances into account. Rules and fees change, so check the current terms with your lender or the official source before you decide.

General information only

Our guides, glossary and calculators explain how credit works in the UAE and what the official rules say. They are written for a general audience. They are not a recommendation to take, keep, repay or refuse any loan, card or other product, and they cannot tell you what is right for you.

The Credit Zone is not a bank, a lender or a broker, and nothing on the site is an offer of credit or of any other financial product.

Accuracy and dates

Every UAE figure on the site shows its official source and the date we checked it, and every guide shows when it was last updated and reviewed. Rules can change after those dates, and lenders can apply stricter criteria than the regulatory limits, so a figure on our site may not match what a lender offers you today. Our methodology explains how we source and check figures, and our corrections page explains how to report an error.

Calculators

Our calculators give estimates under the assumptions stated on each page. They do not include every fee or charge, and they cannot apply a lender's own policies. A lender's quote, Key Facts Statement and contract are what count. Use the results to understand and compare, not as a promise of what you will be offered or approved for.

No endorsement

When we name a bank, a finance company, an app or a government service, it is to explain how something works. It is not an endorsement or a recommendation, and we receive nothing for it.

For a decision about your own situation, speak to your lender or a licensed adviser. For legal questions, such as a court case or a travel ban, speak to a lawyer. If you have a complaint about a bank or finance company, complain to it first and then to Sanadak; our guide explains how complaints and Sanadak work.
