These figures are indicative only. They use the rate and spread you entered, not a live market price. Confirm a live rate with the desk, and remember early-settlement or other fees can mean you need more AED than the balance on a statement. How to use the calculator
Enter the amount of crypto you plan to sell.
Enter the AED rate per unit the desk has quoted you. This is yours to supply — the calculator never assumes a price.
Add any spread or fee as a percentage, and your outstanding debt if you want to see the share it could cover.
The result updates as you type. It is indicative only: rates move second by second, so treat it as a rough guide and confirm a live rate before you trade.
How the figures are worked out
Gross value = amount of crypto × AED rate per unit
There is no market data behind this. Every figure comes from the rate and spread you enter, so the output is only as realistic as the rate you were quoted.
Why every figure here is indicative
Crypto prices change constantly and each desk or exchange applies its own spread, so the AED you actually receive can differ from any estimate. The amount you owe is in dirhams and does not fall until the lender is paid, and settling a loan early can carry its own fee. Build in a margin, and confirm both the live rate with the desk and any settlement cost with your lender before you commit.
You cannot usually pay a bank directly in crypto. The common route is to sell your crypto for AED, through a licensed exchange or an over-the-counter (OTC) desk, and then repay the loan or card in dirhams. Selling the crypto does not change the amount you owe; it only gives you the cash to pay it.
How is the AED value of my crypto worked out?
The calculator multiplies the amount of crypto by the AED rate per unit you enter, then subtracts any spread or fee you enter as a percentage. Rates move constantly and desks apply their own spread, so the figure is indicative only until you lock a live quote.
Does this calculator use a live crypto price?
No. It never fetches or assumes a market price. Every figure is based on the indicative rate and spread you type in, so you must confirm a live rate with the desk before you trade.
Will selling crypto clear my debt automatically?
No. It only gives you AED. You still have to pay the lender and follow their settlement process, and early-settlement or other fees may apply, so the cash you need can be higher than the balance shown on a statement.
